Through the serendipitous way that the internet works I've just found a link on the twice-weekly diocesan email bulletin to Help2Park's web page that shows Leicester city centre's car parks with (this is the clever bit) an up to date report on how full they are.
It's now 9.34pm and I see that should I want to venture "up town" I can choose any of 834 places that are left at The Shires, or one of the only 180 left at St Nicholas Circle.
What about trying this for churches? Hover your mouse over St Paul's at 09:58 on a Sunday and find that there's only 14 places left... Better drive on then to St ----- , where there's a good 198 spaces in the pews! (I'm making this up).

St Paul's is a vibrant church in the open-evangelical tradition. It is part of the Church of England and its Parish serves Oadby, east of the A6. It is also part of a larger group of parishes, called a "Benefice," which includes St Peter's Oadby, Great Glen and Burton Overy with Carlton Curlieu. We seek to be a church for all ages, backgrounds, cultures and nationalities, that is growing and following Jesus. We have a congregation of about one hundred at our main Sunday service and are always pleased to welcome enquirers and visitors.

Benefice
St Pauls Oadby is part of a group of churches known as a benefice — the Benefice of Oadby - Great Glen. It is led by a ministry team, headed by the rector, Revd Steve Bailey, and including Revd Kim Ford (based at Great Glen), currently a vacancy (based at St Peters Oadby), Revd Sarah Collins (curate) together with Lay Ministers (Readers and Pastoral Assistants).
